What is Teen Patti? What are all the necessary strategies to follow

Teen Patti Casino is a gambling card game that originated in India and became popular in South East Asia. Teen Patti Casino is somewhat similar to poker and uses three cards, and is very similar to 3-card poker and 3-card brag with some minor differences.

Before playing Teen Patti Casino is necessary to agree the value of the minimum stake (which I will call one unit). Everyone places this minimum stake in the pot – a collection of money in the centre of the table, which will be won by one of the players.

The dealer deals out the cards one at a time until everyone has three cards. The players then bet on who has the best three card hand. Each has the option to look at their three-card hand before betting (playing seen) or to leave their cards face down on the table (playing blind).

Objective of the Game:

The object of the game is to have the best 3 card hand, and to maximize the pot before the showdown. Any hand of a higher category beats any hand of a lower category. The hands in Teen Patti are best explained in the Hand Rankings page.

Game Description:

Teen Patti is played with everyone seated in a circle at a floor rug or at a table.  An ante or minimum stake is decided beforehand, and all players involved must “ante” this amount into the pot.  The dealer deals until everyone has three cards, and all leave their cards face down until it is their turn to bet.  Each player has the option to look at their hand before betting (playing seen) or to leave their cards face down on the table (playing blind).

Strategy & Rules to play Teen Patti:

Sometimes you think all you need is a little bit of luck to win a game. But what you require in online casino games like Teen Patti is a strategy, logic and rational way of thinking.

The following rules will help you win. If not win, then at least, they won’t let you lose that shirt on your back:

  1. Play with Limits: Before going for that game, set a clear limit for that game this evening. Sit down and write on a piece of paper the amount that you can afford to lose. Remember, it is supposed to be fun!
  2. Learn the Odds: You can visit the Odds page to get an idea of the number of possible hands, and the odds or frequency that a given hand occurs.  There’s no need to memorize everything, just get a rough idea of it.
  3. Avoid wild kinds of variations: Half of which, you have problems understanding. Upper jokers, lower jokers, middle joker and all those kinds of wild games can make you put money on cards that are easily defeatable, because you can’t possibly calculate your chances of winning due to the variation.
